YWAM Organization / Structure


Consistent with the way we have felt God leading us over the years to become a family of ministries (rather than a very structured, centralized agency); we do not have an international headquarters or central office but instead have international, national and regional leaders who volunteer to serve in various capacities of leadership for their area.

Youth With A Mission has a Global Leadership Team (GLT) that consists of approximately 40 regional and international leaders that provide oversight to YWAM as a whole. They meet once a year to pray, discuss vision and address major trends and issues, however the actual decision making is in the hands of each local YWAM ministry (e.g. planning outreach and training programs, recruitment and financial resource development). Each YWAM location does it’s own mobilizing and training, and sets it’s own priorities in carrying out ministry.
